A Security Risk Assessment is the precursor to any security or technical solution. By establishing the risks to the critical assets and processes of a project, ASYMETRA can then establish a framework of protection objectives which mitigate the risk to a level acceptable to our clients. The protection objectives become the basis for all subsequent design engineering and operational recommendations. There are various risk management methodologies; our consultant’s will select and apply the methodology which is most suited to the sector or the client’s needs. ASYMETRA is distinguished for our level of client and stakeholder engagement; deliverables are not produced in isolation but based on multiple workshops with an array of stakeholder inputs to ensure a holistic understanding of project-specific operational requirements and challenges

A Security Master Plan is a comprehensive set of documents that will guide a unified approach for security planning across an organisation or project. The Plan delineates the organisation’s security philosophies, policies, governance, goals, programmes and processes, whilst ensuring that each aspect of security is consistent with business objectives of the organisation and creates a security framework which can be built upon and easily integrated with an organisation’s strategic vision. Elements within a Security Master Plan may also include a Crisis Management Plan and Emergency Evacuation Plan upon client request. ASYMETRA consultants shall ensure these are developed with consideration given to an organisation’s existing Business Continuity Plans

Once Protection Objectives have been established, an integrated system of technical and physical security measures is designed. Design is a core component of ASYMETRA's service offering. Beginning with a Concept Design; our engineers produce 3D depictions using 3D Max, Revit, and other tools to depict the security strategy for salient areas including Vehicle Check Points, Perimeters, etc. When the Concept has been presented and agreed by all relevant stakeholders, detailed drawings, design reports, and design calculations are produced in collaboration with other sub-disciplines including MEP, IT, Landscape, etc. The final product is a set of construction documents which form a Tender Package that the client can release for System Integrators to bid on. ASYMETRA will also assist with technical queries and tender evaluations

As part of our turnkey project responsibility, we offer training packages to complement the designed systems and market entry strategies recommended to our clients. While we strive to automate our solutions as much as possible using system generated alerts and work flow prompts; there is always a human element to the system which must be nurtured. ASYMETRA technical training includes the correct usage of pedestrian and vehicle screening technologies, control room operator best practice, and usage of security software platforms. This training ensures the guard force is conducting effective patrols (both on land and maritime), physical search procedures and general security awareness.

ASYMETRA has unique expertise in performance-based testing of the full range of physical and electronic security systems. This provides our clients with vital assurance that these systems meet their functional and technical requirements, and ultimately mitigate associated risks to an acceptable level.

Independent performance testing should be carried out at the commissioning stage of all new projects, and in this manner ASYMETRA can provide timely verification that Contractors have met their obligations. Where this is not the case we will identify areas for improvement and work with all parties to ensure that they are implemented. 

Performance testing should also be repeated on at least an annual basis to verify that the systems have been correctly maintained and provide early identification of any system degradation, which could compromise security.
